IBM AS400 Consultant, Over 20 years IBM midrange experience, on the AS400 since 1987 (yes, before the official announcement in 1988), working in project management and systems development. Work experience is primarily application systems development and working for and with both software and hardware vendors. Application development experience includes: Medical Information Systems, including Hospital and HomeHealth Care, Order Processing, Manufacuring including extensive Apparel industry experience, distribution, logistics, and inventory tracking, and advertising, most recently working as consultant in food distribution industry for the second largest redistributor in America. Experience includes AS400 connectivity on both NT and Novell networks, ethernet and TCP/IP, using Windows 9x, and 2000/XP client software. AS400 systems experience includes remote communications, software development using RPGIII, RPG400, RPGIV, ILE, Cobol/400, C400, CL, DDS, HTML, and traditional AS400 tools. Experience includes networking and internet/intranet implementations. 3+ years Infinium Software (Software 2000) experience including multiple release upgrades of all modules, APC and UPD interrim upgrades and fixes, and interface with other software. . Experience includes several AS400 system installs, numerous OS400 release upgrades, beginning with V1R2 thru V5R4 installs and upgrades, and several CISC to RISC migrations. Work experience ranges from programmer to MIS Director.
